Project
You will be involved in a financial project focused on supporting IT team in managing high-demand workloads driven by large-scale infrastructure upgrades, application lifecycle activities, regulatory requirements, and migration initiatives. The role is critical in reducing operational risk, addressing backlog, ensuring successful delivery of 2026 migration deadlines, and coordinating closely with internal teams and external vendors.
Responsibilities you'll have
- Migrate SQL Server 2016 databases to SQL Server 2022 environments and clusters
- Upgrade, migrate, or decommission Windows Server 2016 environments
- Support OS, application, and vendor-provided application upgrades
- Coordinate migration, upgrade, testing, and release activities with internal teams and external vendors
- Support application lifecycle management, incident handling, patching, vulnerability remediation, and monitoring
- Prepare documentation, test plans, rollout checklists, UAT materials, and support release execution
Expected competences and knowledge
- Strong experience with Windows Server administration and SQL Server migrations, clustering, and performance tuning
- Proven experience in large-scale infrastructure migrations and production support in complex enterprise environments
- Experience with incident, problem, and change management processes
- Knowledge of security and compliance activities, including patching, vulnerability remediation, and audits
- Strong documentation skills, including HLD, SDD, and operational procedures
- Experience coordinating releases, testing, deployment activities, and application lifecycle management
- Nice to have:
- Familiarity with banking domain systems, including payments, KYC, and compliance platforms
- Experience with automation and scripting of operational tasks, SharePoint migrations, and file transfer solutions
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, audit requirements, resilience, disaster recovery, and high-availability environments
- Experience working in distributed delivery models and high-volume enterprise environments with competing priorities
