Project
As a Senior Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Transact-SQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Java, with a proven track record of delivering robust and scalable applications.
What you'll be doing
- Design, implement, and maintain complex database solutions using Transact-SQL, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into efficient and scalable software solutions
- Develop high-quality, reusable, and modular code in Java to enhance the functionality and performance of our applications
- Conduct code reviews, provide mentorship, and offer constructive feedback to junior developers
- Optimize database queries and troubleshoot performance issues in both databases and application code
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our software solutions remain at the forefront of innovation
Expected competences and knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Senior Developer with expertise in Transact-SQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Java
- Strong database design, optimization, and administration skills
- Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing in SQL Server and PostgreSQL
- Solid understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and coding standards
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice to have
- Familiarity with additional programming languages or frameworks
- Previous experience in relevant industry/sector
- Microsoft SQL Server certification is a plus
