Project
Join a team working on complex internal systems to support daily operations in a financial, stock market related environment. Client operates regulated exchanges in Belgium, France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, and Portugal.
Expected competences and knowledge
- At least 5 years of experience in software testing, including a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in international projects and regulated environments (e.g., finance, stock exchanges, clearing houses).
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (ISTQB Advanced Test Manager certification is a significant advantage).
- Ability to develop test strategies, test plans, and quality reports.
- Experience with tools such as JIRA, Xray/Zephyr, Confluence, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins), and test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, ReadyAPI – depending on the project).
- Ability to read system logs, analyze test data, and cooperate with DevOps teams.
- Proven experience in leading testing teams (both local and distributed).
- Skills in effort estimation, risk reporting, and UAT coordination.
- High level of independence and ability to collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and Project Managers.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, in an international work environment.
- Proactive approach to quality assurance and continuous process improvement.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (e.g., to Oslo, Porto, Milan, Copenhagen).
- Flexibility in working with various CSD systems and local specifications within the client environment.
Responsibilities you'll have
- Leading and coordinating software testing activities within international and regulated project environments.
- Managing a team of testers, supporting their growth and ensuring efficient task execution.
- Designing and implementing test strategies, plans, and procedures tailored to complex financial systems.
- Collaborating closely with development, DevOps, business analysis, and project management teams.
- Overseeing UAT preparation and execution, including stakeholder coordination and reporting.
- Ensuring high quality of deliverables by monitoring KPIs and continuously improving test processes.
- Supporting test automation and integration into CI/CD pipelines as needed.
- Analyzing test data, logs, and defects to ensure full coverage and issue resolution.
- Reporting testing progress, risks, and quality metrics to project stakeholders.
- Maintaining documentation and knowledge sharing in tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
