Work model & location: Hybrid from Gdańsk / Warsaw / Kraków (2 days per week from the office)

Project

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join a team developing modern, scalable web applications built on a microservices architecture. In addition to hands-on development, you'll play a key role in supporting and mentoring less experienced engineers, helping to drive engineering best practices and maintain a high standard of code quality.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical leadership with day-to-day software development. While this is not a formal Lead role, we're looking for a senior engineer who can positively influence the team, actively contribute to architectural decisions, and support the growth of other developers.

Responsibilities you'll have

Design, develop, and maintain modern frontend applications using React and TypeScript
Build scalable, maintainable, and high-performance user interfaces
Collaborate with backend engineers working within a microservices architecture
Participate in architecture and technical design discussions
Mentor and support junior developers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance
Promote engineering best practices, clean code principles, and high-quality software delivery
Work closely with Product Owners, UX Designers, and backend developers
Troubleshoot and optimize application performance
Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tooling

Expected competences and knowledge

5+ years of commercial experience in frontend development
Strong expertise in React and TypeScript
Experience building applications integrated with microservice-based backend architectures
Excellent understanding of modern frontend architecture and design patterns
Experience with REST APIs and asynchronous communication
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions
Experience mentoring or coaching junior developers
Excellent communication skills and fluent English

Nice to have:

Experience with Edge Computing or edge-based applications
Experience with cloud-native applications
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
Experience with performance optimization and frontend monitoring tools
Knowledge of containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
