Project
We are looking for a talented Data Engineer who will play a key role in working with Scala and Spark to define and maintain data transformation processes. You will collaborate closely with DevOps, QA, and Product Management teams and provide detailed progress updates during demo sessions.
Responsibilities you'll have
- Working with Scala and Spark to define and maintain data transformation processes
- Collaborating with DevOps, QA, and Product Management teams
- Providing detailed progress reports during demo sessions
Expected competences and knowledge
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with Spark & Scala
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Python
- Strong experience with distributed data processing engines like Spark
- Experience with Hadoop and related technologies (Hive, Oozie, MapReduce, etc.)
- Advanced SQL skills
- Basic understanding of Linux/Unix systems
- Previous experience in creating and managing data flows
- Advanced English communication skills
- Nice to have:
- Experience with code versioning strategy and branching strategies
- Familiarity with the Agile/Safe framework
- Experience with Bitbucket and GIT
- Basic knowledge of AWS
