Project
You will be involved in a financial project focused on Data Warehouse testing within the Snowflake platform. The role requires a highly skilled QA Tester who can quickly integrate into ongoing data testing processes, validate complex data flows, ensure data accuracy, and collaborate with development teams to meet deadlines. Strong expertise in SQL and dbt testing and experience with Snowflake and Apache Airflow are essential. We seek an open-minded, proactive problem-solver eager to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Responsibilities you'll have
- Validate complex data flows and ensure data accuracy in Snowflake
- Create and execute test plans and test cases for data pipelines
- Perform thorough testing of all ETL and data transformation processes
- Develop automated test scripts using Python for data validation
- Collaborate with development teams to meet project deadlines
- Troubleshoot data issues using log analysis tools like Splunk
- Monitor data pipeline performance using Grafana
- Test data delivery through Kafka topics and APIs
- Validate real-time and near-real-time data scenarios
- Ensure business rules and configurations are correctly implemented
Expected competences and knowledge
- Strong SQL skills for data validation and manipulation
- Proficiency in Python for test automation and scripting
- Experience with data, including the understanding of dbt (Data Build Tool) extensions
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake for querying and testing
- Knowledge of Apache Airflow for orchestrating data workflows
