Project
You will be involved in a strategic Core Banking transformation project for one of the leading nordic banking groups. The project focuses on the migration of customer and account data from legacy ledger systems to a new core ledger platform, as well as the development and improvement of banking services and data quality.
As an IT Environment Manager / Infrastructure Project Manager, you will take overall ownership of multiple development, test, and pre-production environments supporting the program. You will coordinate environment planning, availability, releases, infrastructure changes, testing activities, and Production Go Live events across multiple Agile Release Trains and technical teams.
Responsibilities you'll have
- Take overall ownership and accountability for Dev, Test and PreProd environments, with coordination support for Production when required
- Plan, schedule and govern environment availability, refreshes, deployments, infrastructure updates and testing activities
- Coordinate environment-related activities across multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and resolve scheduling conflicts
- Proactively identify and manage dependencies, risks, impediments and environment-related issues
- Coordinate with infrastructure, operations, application support, database and external vendor teams to ensure environments are delivered and maintained according to plan
- Support Production Go Live, migration and dress rehearsal events, including occasional evening, night or weekend activities
- Define environment requirements and coordinate their procurement, configuration, maintenance and lifecycle management
- Coordinate Trial Conversion activities, environment refreshes, database imports and technical support
- Manage and coordinate user access to project environments
- Monitor the availability and status of key test environments, including integrated testing and performance environments
- Drive environment-related Jira tickets, enabler features and external dependencies from planning through completion
- Manage external vendors at a tactical level and coordinate their activities related to environment setup, testing and Go Live events
- Facilitate ART ceremonies and support teams in planning and delivering environment-related activities
Expected competences and knowledge
- Several years of experience in IT Project Management, Infrastructure Management, IT Service Management or Environment Management
- Experience working within complex IT environments, preferably with infrastructure and/or platform-related projects
- Strong understanding of IT environments, infrastructure dependencies, releases, deployments and testing processes
- Experience coordinating multiple technical teams, stakeholders, vendors and external dependencies
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with a proactive and systematic approach to problem solving
- Experience working in Agile / SAFe environments and coordinating activities across multiple Agile Release Trains
- Experience with risk, dependency, issue and stakeholder management
- Strong communication, collaboration and presentation skills
- Ability to understand technical topics and coordinate their resolution with infrastructure, application, database and operations teams
- Fluent English and ability to work effectively in an international environment
- Experience with Jira and working with technical backlogs, features and dependencies
- Experience in banking or other highly regulated environments will be an advantage
