Project
In this role you will be a key part of a cross-functional team working on designing, developing and maintaining data-driven applications using Quantexa’s platform and the Apache Spark ecosystem. You’ll drive release activities, support production (P3 level), and ensure effective collaboration across multiple teams in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities you'll have
- Leading and coordinating release activities
- Designing, developing, and maintaining data applications using the Apache Spark framework
- Supporting Agile-based software development lifecycle
- Ensuring effective cross-team collaboration
- Providing L3 (P3 level) production support when needed
Expected competences and knowledge
- Quantexa Technical Academy Certification (Qx Certification)
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer
- Strong hands-on experience with Scala and Apache Spark
- Proficiency in the Hadoop ecosystem: Hive, HDFS, Oozie, Impala, Parquet
- Good understanding of ETL processes and Data Warehousing concepts
- Experience with Unix Shell Scripting
- Basic knowledge of SQL, GIT, Gradle/Maven, and Java
- Nice-to-have knowledge and experience:
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools: Bamboo or Jenkins
- Experience with Elastic Search
